Rain Music

It just started raining, and needless to say I have missed it. It's been a hella hot september..
So I thought i'd make a little rain playlist...(alot of these songs also feature on my crying playlists so here goes...)

1. Bear - Pacific Air
This track is on the mortal instruments soundtrack, not sure why i like it, maybe it's the line "my bank account controls my mood swings" That is my life right there...

2. Open - Rhye
String instruments are freaking perf for rain

3. I Need My Girl - The National
it just works for the weather

4. Show Talked Windows - Sumie
This is a really beautiful song, I have nothing else to say on the matter

5. Roses - Pacific Air
This song is really chill but still has an essential beat. I love this band in rainy weather, seems to work really well with grey clouds and my mint tea.
6. Far Away - Washed Out
Just one of those tracks thats on all my playlists, because it doesn't matter what mood i'm in, this turned to full volume is all I need.

7. Everything To Me - Lips
This song is laid back and slow, and I like it, and bleurgh.

8. Microlite - Trophy Wife
Definitely is a lot more upbeat than some of the other tracks, but puts a good mood on the dismal weather.

9. More Than Letters - Benjamin Francis Leftwich
The mellow tones of everything gives me shivers

10. Wait - M83
From the fault in our stars soundtrack, this makes me contemplate life, and often look at stars, but it's great for being uplifting as it starts to chuck down with rain. Rain/Stars same thing.

----And there you have my rather boring rainy day playlist, I am off to contemplate rain and stars,
Adios amigos ----

Permanent Woman Crush

I don't know about anyone else but the whole trending of Woman Crush Wednesday got me thinking....
My woman crushes change all the time to name but a few: Marina Diamandis, Shailene Woodley and Alice Glass.
                           the ever changing woman crushes

However there is one woman crush which always stays constant for me and no matter what she will continue to be my permanent woman crush.

Lily Collins is a keeper in terms of my wcw.... I have a serious love for her. No matter what films I see her in, no matter how she is dressed or where she is, she remains my fave... This is starting to seem vaguely creepy now. So I shall leave you with her face, (in case you didn't know who she is)
Lily Collins will be on my blog a lot more when I actually start posting

"Work hard, Play hard, Drugs are baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad"

At our leavers lunch our tutor's speech literally consisted of the words above being written on a PowerPoint. To be honest I can't agree with him more simply because drugs suck.

It's pretty obvious why illegal drugs suck, addiction, waste of money, health problems etc. etc.

I can safely say so do prescribed drugs...

Earlier this week I went to my GP with blisters appearing over my face only to discover I had Impetigo (I don't know either, it took me ages to find out what it was because I never knew how to spell it) Basically a cut on my face got infected by bacteria. Apparently it was pretty bad so I was prescribed a drug called Flucloxacillin (cool name huh??) I can safely say apart from the name the only other cool thing about is the fact that the capsules are bright blue.

I'm on a pretty high dose of 4 500mg capsules a day. Frankly I've struggled with them, they have to be taken on an empty stomach or 1 hour before food, and this means regulating at what times you eat. Being a typical teenager i'm normally going to the fridge whenever I feel like it; but not anymore. I've missed out on pivotal food moments this week like getting biscuits before the rest of my family eat them, and forcing mum to have her birthday cake the next day so that I can get in all four doses (sorry mum!)

To tell you the truth i'm not having a great time with these capsules, they have a disgusting after taste if you don't take them with enough water and are also giving me side effects that appear in 1 in 10 people... . Luckily the infection has pretty much gone and I only have two days of treatment left.
